Our goal is to create the best culture and work environment our team members have ever been part of. We believe in attracting and retaining the best talent because we believe our mission is worth it. We want team members who are passionate and fully invested in the work we get to do together. Yet life is about so much more than work. It’s our firm belief and aim that every member of our team should be present, engaged, and attentive to their personal and spiritual lives. So we expect that our staff takes time to rest, recharge, and attend their kids’ soccer games.
Here’s a bit more about our culture and benefits:
The LifeGuide Way |
Traditional Industry Norms |
A highly supportive, highly encouraging, engaged team culture. We operate out of an abundance mindset where you’ve always got someone in your corner. | Competitive, “everyone-for-themselves” culture where one’s win is another’s loss, and vice versa. Employees scrutinized for the amount of business they bring in. Failure and burn out are not uncommon. |
Salaried team members. No commissions, no product or referral quotas, no nonsense. Advisors receive bonuses based on LifeGuide’s success, which is based on our clients’ success! | Sales quotas, cold calls, appointment and activity minimums, draws against future feast-or-famine sales commissions |
Paid vacation, holidays, sick leave, mission trips, maternity and paternity leave. We also pay for an annual renewal, “Weekend Away.” | You may take time off, but you still need to sell and meet your quotas to get paid. |
Company paid disability, dental, vision, and life insurance. Retirement plans with company matching. | Usually at employee expense |
Charitable gift matching, healthy living subsidies, paid mission trips | Employees usually are on their own. |
Company-provided industry leading hardware and software technology package | Employees must usually purchase and maintain on their own technology. |
Regular team celebrations, events, professional development, and check-ins. The result is a team personally and professionally invested in one another. | Rewards for top sales people, and maybe a holiday party |
Business casual and smart casual dress | Usually formal “suit and tie” attire |
Education, licensing, and professional development reimbursement programs | Some companies offer educational reimbursement incentives; many do not. |
A path to partnership and ownership | Employees must build their own book of business. |
